The Current State of Pollution

Pollution has become a very serious issue in today’s world. Pollution is a term that is known to everyone. Pollution is rising continuously. Pollution is mainly caused by human activities which harm the environment in many ways. Not only it’s adversely affecting the quality of life but damaging our earth severely as well. The water is being polluted in the name of industrial development and religious practices. Moreover, the way waste is dumped on the land eventually ends up in the soil and turns toxic. If land pollution keeps on going at this rate, we will not have fertile soil to grow our crops on. So it is the need of the hour that serious measures must be taken to reduce the pollution.

Air pollution is due to vehicle emission, poisonous gases from the factories, etc. To reduce air pollution, we should take public transport or carpool.  If we avoid firecrackers at festivals and celebrations, it can cut down on air and noise pollution. We should plant more trees which will absorb the harmful gases and make the air cleaner. Government should ban Industries from dumping their waste into oceans and rivers causing water pollution.  Land and soil pollution is mainly caused by the use of pesticides, fertilizers, soil erosion, and crop residues. We should reduce the usage of plastic.  If we wish to survive and continue our life on earth, then we have to take measures to reduce pollution.
