In this video, I’ll talk about the different types of 3D printing filaments—and how they each affect the look and feel of your 3D printed products.
First, let’s start with the type of plastic filament you should probably use for your first few prints.
PLA is a great option because it’s cheap, easy to print with on a home printer, and it’s also biodegradable. But if you’re looking to print something that will last for years and years (like a life-size replica of your favorite movie character), ABS is the best option. It doesn’t flex as much as PLA does when you put pressure on it, other than this we are going to see about Nylon, PETG, and sandstorm.
