We cannot imagine a world without water. Water is important for the survival of human beings, animals, trees and plants. Apart from drinking, it is used for cooking, washing, bathing and cleaning. It is also used in agriculture. Water present in the atmosphere absorbs the heat of the sun. Water is also needed for power generation. The entire earth consists of 71% water out of which only a small percentage is drinkable fresh water. We should refrain from wasting, misusing or overusing water resources.

Some people open taps and leave them or they do not tighten the taps. Water is wasted in agricultural region. So we are decreasing the level of water in various ways. We can save water in various ways. Watering the plants in the evening to minimize evaporation. We should use buckets instead of shower because it saves a lot of water. We should not keep the tap running while washing our face or hands. We can adopt rainwater harvesting, roof water harvesting and recycling of water. Educating children about water-saving from an early age. Increase awareness in your locality, school, and neighborhood about the save water initiative. According to WHO, one out of every five people does not have access to proper drinking water. “Save Water Save Life” is not just a phrase. “World Water Day” is celebrated by all of us on 22nd March every year. If we do not save pure, fresh and potable water now, then that day is not far when human beings will have to consume unsafe, unhygienic and polluted water which will adversely affect their lives and their existence. Water is a valuable gift of God.

So please “SAVE WATER, SAVE LIFE, SAVE EARTH” It is our duty that we try to conserve water as much as we can so that there are enough water resources for the future generation too.
